Why I Do This Work…
This work is more than a profession for me, it’s a calling.
I felt led to create spaces for healing after witnessing how heavy and exhausted so many people in the Body of Christ have become. So many are carrying anxiety, grief, burnout, and emotional pain while still trying to show up in faith and help others. And for a long time, I saw how often support for mental and emotional health was missing from those conversations.
My foundation in faith runs deep. My father was a pastor, my godfather is an associate pastor, and my grandmother, mother, and aunt were founding members of a Baptist church in South Central Los Angeles, California; each serving and entering ministry in their own way. This legacy of faith, service, and leadership was passed down to me and continues to shape how I show up in this work. I am also attending Duke University’s Masters of Divinity Program with a Certificate in Black Church Studies.
I believe God never intended for us to carry everything alone. He has given us tools of support here on earth, like the Holy Spirit, discernment, community, therapy, and holistic practices that help us heal, originating from Him. Seeking support is not a lack of faith, it’s responsible stewardship.
My approach is shaped not only by my clinical training, but also by my own personal journey. I’ve experienced what it means to walk through grief, to feel the weight of waiting, and to need real support. Engaging in therapy, holistic practices, and intentional healing work became a part of my own restoration. It showed me that healing is not just spiritual or just emotional, it’s both.
That’s why I do this work.
I pride myself on creating spaces where spirituality, faith, and mental wellness can coexist. Where you don’t have to choose one over the other. A space where you can be honest, supported, and strengthened as you navigate your life. Because healing is not separate from your faith, it’s a part of it. Rest is a biblically endorsed necessity!
